About ours

Love Kids Orphanage Home was founded in October 2007 in Nkoranza, a small village in central Ghana. At first, as a family, we took in three children from our community who had lost their parents and had no-one willing to care for them. We then discovered that there were many children in the community who were desperately lacking a secure home and parental care: thus Love Kids Orphanage and Care Home was born. Our team has since expanded and now include people from all over the world. All of these people give their time and expertise voluntarily - Love Kids Orphanage does not spend any money on fundraising or administration.
We are a relatively new organization, so the history of Love Kids is far from written. The children currently live in a rented property, and we are keen to raise enough money to buy a small plot of land to secure a sustainable home for them. Here we would like to build a good house and have a small farm to grow food crops. The children can then learn the traditional farming skills of the wider Nkoranza community. We also pay to send all of the children to school, to give them the freedom to pursue the future paths they dream of.
As part of an African family, the children living at Love Kids are brought up in the traditional Ghanaian village culture. By receiving volunteers from all over the world, we hope the children will get a chance to make many friends and learn all about the wider world.
Love Kids Orphanage Foundation is a registered Ghanaian charity.
